Ecumenical Partnership for Housing (EPH) is a nonprofit organization working in partnership with 22
area churches to serve local families with children facing homelessness by providing housing, case
management, and eviction prevention services.
How We Help
CHURCH NAME has partnered with EPH since YEAR. We have adopted one side (or the upper/lower
unit) of a duplex used to provide housing for a family with children experiencing homelessness and
volunteers from CHURCH NAME help get the home ready for a new family to move in each time it
becomes vacant by cleaning, decorating, and stocking it with supplies. We also help with lawn care
and snow removal. Our home is known as the HOME NAME.
Members of CHURCH NAME volunteer to serve on the EPH Board of Directors and as part of the
EPH Unit Coordinator Team. We also support EPH by participating in the annual direct mail
campaign to raise funds for the organization. (If the church does not participate in DM campaign,
list some other sentence related to fundraising.)

Tips for updating the EPH information on your church website:
• Remove reference to The Salvation Army partnership, if still listed.
• Wendy is no longer the contact person for volunteers. Lacy Hansen is the contact person
and can be reached at the EPH office number or lacyh@ephgb.org .
• Use person-first language – Homelessness is a temporary state, and we have moved away
from describing those we serve as “homeless families” as it is no longer considered
appropriate. Instead try families facing homelessness or families experiencing
homelessness.
• Please also stay away from the language used on our previous website and old brochures
referring to families having a life of turmoil, turbulence, and dependency. This language is
dated. We reference hope, stability, and self-sufficiency on our updated site.
• We should no longer say that EPH does not receive any public funding. We just received a
grant for $43,000 administered by the City of Green Bay with HUD dollars. While we likely
won’t receive many of these types of grants, we will apply if we qualify.
EPH facts for ideas when writing an update:
• EPH has been serving families facing homelessness for over 30 years.
• EPH was founded in 1992 when four churches decided to work together and utilize a home
owned by Union Congregational UCC to provide housing for one family.
• Today, EPH works in partnership with more than 20 area churches and has the capacity to
provide housing for up to 37 families at a time.
• EPH has three programs: Transitional Housing, Long-Term Supportive Housing, and Eviction
Prevention.
• Case management is an essential component of all three programs. EPH case management
focuses on family well-being, financial stability, employment, education, housing stability,
and home care.
• EPH has 21 homes in our transitional housing program and 16 homes in our long-term
supportive housing program.
• The EPH eviction prevention program works to help families in the community at risk of
losing their housing due to temporary financial constraints remain in their home and avoid
experiencing homelessness with their children.
